A piece of perfection?
By (I am an Owner) on Sep 20, 2009I went from GS 500 to this. The first time I rode it ( with trepidation) I started laughing. The next test ride I bought it.
Until you hit 140+ KPH the screen doesnt matter. The seat moulds to your butt quickly . I am 5 ft 8 1/2 tall with NO problems reaching the ground securely.
... The breaks are FANTASTIC. I cannot lock these wheels up , I've tried. Stop at 100 kph in 3-4 car lengths. Probably faster if I had more upper body strength to stop my self going into the tank.
Cornering is sublime. Chicken strips easily erased. Economy 20km/litre just below 400km to the tank. Riding with some gusto.
Long distance easy ,easily 6/24 on bike without fatigue.
Off the lights..fear no car and most bikes. The torque is a little playful for the weight.
Get traction control and suspension ESA if you like 2 up.
Tyre pressure sensing has save my bacon already
I've now done 15,000 @,000 per month.
Worth every cent.
Just take your checkbook to the testride (gulp)

Smooth operator
By (I am an Owner) on Jun 23, 2009This thing handles like it knows your thoughts. It becomes a part of you in a short time. No pushing or fighting for absolute control. I have owned this a couple months a put 2000 miles on twisty mountain roads that wrap around Colorado. I love the torque and and quick throttle response at all ... RPM ranges. Smooth and firm power delivery. Quick in rolling curves. Love it. After 5-6 hours of i still want to roll past home and keep enjoying the ride.
