Best Bike Ever!!!
By (I am an Owner) on Aug 16, 2014After owning some of the greatest bikes the world has ever produced, I can honestly say the S1000RR tops them all. 11,000 kms in, no glitches, stalls, or disappointments. As much power as my 2000 Hayabusa in RAIN MODE, I couldn't imagine why anyone would think this bike is underpowered. Being ... a former sales rep for WURTH, the Torx bits to remove all the bolts were in my garage years ago!!! I love this bike, and after riding for 37 years, that's saying something. Don't believe the haters, BMW builds a top quality product, and also back the best warranty of any manufacturer in the business. One last thing, after riding Ducati for the last 6 years, if I were to win a new Panagale R in a lottery right now, I'd trade it in for an HP4 Carbon without even blinking!!! That is all...

Not What a Top Sportbike Should Be
By (I am an Owner) on Jan 10, 2014As an owner, the current generation of BMW S1000RR suffers from absence of any past. While the bike has a good core engine, it requires the service of a factory race crew to continually service it to stay running and lacks a lot of the basic modern street bike features... from the short sided use ... of torx, uncommon nut and hex key sizes, oil changes requiring dealership computer resets, engine and fairing bolts backing themselves out and falling off all over the place to lack of HID's, LED signals, adjustable rear sets, reversible rear sets, uncomfortable suspension this bike needs to survive a few generations of improvements before anyone should consider buying. I am obviously disappointed in my purchase.
