Quarter-Liter Cruise-Off

Carburettors may be dead (or dying at least), but nobody bothered to tell Star – the SOHC, two-valve V Star 250 holds a healthy advantage over the Hyosung throughout the midrange, where most riders will be spending their time. It’s only in the upper rev ranges that the DOHC GV250’s oversquare bore/stroke and four valves per cylinder give it the upper hand. And only after 7100 rpm does the Hyosung produce more torque than the Star.
