I bought mine in Chicago and broke it in riding it home to Kansas City. I had the dealer install a rack. I bought my tail trunk and windshield with me. It immediately made friends with me. The rider triangle is very comfortable. It has a comfortable long, flat seat that allows the rider to ... move around, mid-mounted pegs, and the handlebars are just right for sitting upright. I had a fun ride home. It pushes 70mpg on the highway if you're taking the slower two lanes, and mid 60's if you're cruising 70 on the interstate. The two laners are really a blast. It's super light and flickable, but still stable at higher speeds.
Since that one highway trip, I use it mostly to ride the freeways back and forth to work (20mi one way). I've since added a pair of small hard bags and traded the windshield for a Parabellem fairing.
I really couldn't be happier with the bike. The engine has a wonderful surge of mid-range torque at half throttle that's enough to get me up to freeways speeds by the end of the on ramp. Passing a car on a two lane road usually doesn't require a downshift. It's definitely not a "fast" motorcycle, but it's more than adequit. It's been totally reliable, and it's very good looking.
The only downside is an oil change is a little more evolved than I'm used to, since it's a dry-sump with a cartridge filter. There's a good tutorial on YouTube. It is the same bike Honda sold as the CB400ss from about 2000 to 2006. It's extremely smooth for a single. The only downsides would be the sparse dealer network, and poor resale. Neither have been any concern to me so far. I currently have almost 7000 miles on mine.
