Moto Guzzi sport tourer up for grabs
By Motorcycle.Com Staff, May. 06, 2008
The American Motorcyclist Association is challenging riders to search for a taste of Italy in America for a chance to win a 2008 Moto Guzzi Norge 1200.

The Moto Guzzi Grand Tour of Italy in America opened in April and will run through to November. Motorcyclists can earn points by visiting Moto Guzzi dealerships, attending rallies and finding other Italian-themed locations across the US.

Participants will search for several preset markers and take a photograph of the site for proof. Locations within the riders home state will earn one point; stops in adjoining states are worth two points while three points will be awarded for reaching distant locations. Unlike other similar tours, entrants can work at their own pace.

Moto Guzzi owners are truly passionate about their legendary motorcycles, says Rick Panettieri, brand manager for Moto Guzzi USA. This Grand Tour of Italy in America will provide riders with an opportunity to truly chart their own course, visit new places and meet interesting people. We are looking forward to a great turnout and the opportunity to celebrate our rich, Italian heritage.

By Nov. 30, those with 25 or more points will earn a tour pin and will be entered in a draw to win the Norge 1200 sport-tourer. Those with over 50 points will receive a second entry in the draw. Additional winners will receive clothing from Moto Guzzis line of sweaters and riding gear.

Participants can register for the tour at http://www.amadirectlink.com/roadride/GrandTours08.asp
