Take the scenic route to BMW Motorrad Days
BMW Motorrad is inviting riders to join in the World of BMW Tour for a group ride starting from the UK and arriving at the annual event in southern Germany from July 4 to 6 before making the return trip.
The tour will begin July 2 at one of two departure points, giving riders the option of crossing the English Channel by ferry or through the Chunnel. Upon arrival on the continent, the tour will ride to a stop in Metz, France, before continuing through the mountainous Vosges region and crossing over the Rhine into Germany. Once across the border, the tour will run through the Black Forest for the second stop at Reutlingen. The tour will arrive at Garmisch-Partenkirchen for the start of BMW Motorrad Days on July 4.
Over 30,000 riders are expected to attend BMWs celebrations during those three days.
The return trip will run through Austria and Switzerland before returning to France through the Vosges mountains. Other overnight stops will be in St. Anton, Austria, Basel, Switzerland, and Reims, France.
The total trip will run from July 2 to 9. The cost for the tour is £760 (US$1,521) for individuals and £975 (US$1,951) for couples. The price will cover the cost of crossing the Chunnel, bed and breakfast accommodation, parking fees and a BMW Motorrad t-shirt. Those opting for a ferry crossing will need to pay an additional fee.
