Suzuki dominates at Barber
Ben Spies and Tommy Hayden followed Mladin on Sunday to sweep the podium in the second race, while Hayden earned another third place finish in the first race on Saturday.
Jason Disalvo earned the remaining podium spot, finishing second on Saturday for Yamaha.
The two victories gives Mladin three wins in as many races this season. The six-time AMA Superbike champion now has 66 career victories.
Today was a great day for me and my guys and it was a great day for the Rockstar Makita Suzuki team, Mladin says after Sundays race. For me, it was a pretty good race. I just tried to put in a good, solid ride and be consistent.
Spies second-place finish on Sunday redeemed his disappointing results from the first race. The defending Superbike champion crashed on the second lap but was able to rejoin the race and finished in eleventh.
Haydens two podium spots place him third in the overall driver standings behind Mladin and Disalvo.
Rockstar Makita Suzuki - one, two, three thats the way it should be and Im just glad to do my part to make that happen, says Hayden. It feels good to be up on the podium twice this weekend and thanks to my team for everything.
