SS Trike to use S&S X-Wedge engines

117 cubic inch engine meets EPA guidelines
By Motorcycle.Com Staff, May. 06, 2010
SS Trike will equip its vehicles with S&S X-Wedge engines to meet EPA standards while improving performance.

The Rudolph, Wis., trike manufacturer, will use the 117 cubic-inch (1,917cc) X-Wedge engine in all its models. The 56.25 degree V-Twin engine meets Environmental Protection Agency rules, making it legal in 49 states. SS Trike does not specify whether it is using the CARB-compliant version of the X-Wedge which would make it legal in California. According to SS Trike, the new engine offers more power than the previous power plant.

We decided to utilize the X Wedge because it is the most innovative, reliable and smoothest running V-Twin product available today, says Jason Neiman, president of SS Trike. We selected S&S Cycle because of the efficiency and power supplied by the motor.
