Repsol Honda introduces 2010 MotoGP team
Rider Dani Pedrosa was on hand at the teams official launch, March 13 in Madrid, Spain. Approximately 7,000 fans attended the event at the Palacio de Deportes de la Comunidad, coinciding with an FIM Indoor Trial World Championship round.
To be here for the Repsol Honda Team launch and to see the support of all our fans is a great feeling, says Pedrosa. Im feeling really motivated for the coming season and our targets are clear to improve in every area and consistently fight for race wins. It's especially good to be here today because last year I couldn't be at the team presentation because I was injured and that was a strange feeling, sitting at home watching it. So Im starting this season in a really positive mood.

The same could not be said for Pedrosas teammate Andrea Dovizioso. The Italian racer was suffering from a fever and decided to stay home to recover for the March 18-19 test at the Losail International Circuit in Doha. Dovizioso sent a message to his fans from his home in Forli, Italy.
Im really sorry not to able to attend the Repsol Team Launch but unfortunately high fever and flu are keeping me in bed, and at this moment of the season with the Qatar test taking place next week, our priority is to be fit and ready for the last test of the winter, says Dovizioso. Our common goal is to be competitive from round one we all want to see the Repsol Honda machines fighting at the front every Sunday.

The 2010 edition of the Honda RC212V MotoGP machine has a new chassis and swingarm, giving it a slightly shorter wheelbase and lower ground clearance. The most significant update is a switch to Ohlins suspension from the 2009 models Showa suspension. Honda and Showa share a long racing history, and Repsol Honda was the only team to use Showa suspension in 2009.
