Ducati North America CEO Leaves Company

Recent rumors that Joe Piazza, CEO of Ducati North America, was leaving the company were finally confirmed in a press release just released by the company.

The company gave no reason for his leaving, and there is no indication if this was his, or Ducati's decision. They indicate that his position as CEO will not be formally filled at this time, but that the worldwide VP of Marketing and Sales will relocate to the US to assume responsibility for Ducati NA.

Ducati North America Press Release:

This is to announce that as of today Mr. Joe Piazza and Ducati North America have decided to end their employment relationship.

While we thank Joe for his contribution over the past year to our operations in North America, we wish him all success in his new endeavours.

Mr. Nicola Greco, Vice president Marketing and Sales, will relocate to USA to take over full responsibility for Ducati North America, while no substitution of Joe as CEO is anticipated at this time.

Mr. Greco will continue to have Sales worldwide responsibilities for the Company. Mirko Bordiga, Andrea Buzzoni, Stefania Clapci, Dominique Cheraki, Pam De Vries, Piero Guidi, and Michael Lock will continue to report to him, while Giovanni De Leo, Patrizia Cianetti, Myrianne Gaeta, Annalisa Di Monte and Claudio Malaguti will temporarily report to me.
