Suzuki SV1000 Naked Model Delayed

It appears that Suzuki is calling dealerships to let them know there is a problem with the supplier of the headlight assembly for the naked model SV1000 that will delay arrival of these bikes.
The faired "S" model is unaffected and should be hitting dealerships in mid March but the official word on the naked model is "as late as July" according to the phone call from my dealer.
My question is, if it is delayed till July who's going to buy a 2003 in July when a 2004 can be had in September?
