Final Times From Daytona Tire Test
On a slippery "green" track Bostrom on a Superbike RC-51 and Mladin on a new 1000cc rules GSX-R1000 both dipped into the 1:48s Thursday to set the two fastest times of the rain shortened Dunlop Daytona Tire Tests. In the hotly contested 600 class, Kurtis Roberts moved to the top of the Supersport charts Thursday morning, with a blazing 1:52.5

Look for times to improve significantly in Qualifying next March as long as the temperatures are warmer and there’s more rubber on the track. (Think low 1:47 - high 1:46 Superbike pole and high 1:51 Supersport pole) The bikes are faster this year and the track is over 1 sec faster due to a re-configured chicane, leading into NASCAR turn 3.
