After the race was red-flagged with only eight laps left, the same person who was in the lead as the race stopped ended up the victor at the end of it all.

Honda Racing's Nicky Hayden fought offteammate Miguel Duhamel for the win, Miguel taking second and BlimpieYoshimura Suzuki's Aaron Yates getting by Kawasaki's Eric Bostrom for third.
Drama ensued as Hayden's "A bike" blew its motor before the race. Also, Eric Bostrom was in the lead for much of the race before the re-start where he didn't fare as well in the eight-lap sprint to the checkers.
