As Russell Baker onceopined, "people seem toenjoy things more whenthey know a lot of otherpeople have been left out ofthe pleasure." And so itgoes with sport-touringbikes. A good one can doeverything well, crossingstate lines with ease orannoying your buddy on hisrace replica, up and downyour favorite roads. He'lljust look at you, then the bike, and scratch his head wondering how any one bike can do boththings so competently.
Get Motorcycle.com in your InboxIn the great sport-touring pantheon of bikes that are supposed to do all things reasonably well,it's no surprise that so few bikes manage this task in anything that vaguely resembles acompetent manner. But either one of the two Italian bikes we have here are as close to hittingthe bulls-eye as anything ever produced.
So after you take a look at the comparo, go ahead and let us know what you think...
Which bike's styling do you prefer? What type of motor (snappy of flat) do you prefer? What type of mileage do you need?
Is Aprilia still doing things right, or have they only done things differently?
