The Misano tests have concluded with no one able to best Castrol Honda's Colin Edwards, though Aprilia's Troy Corser did manage to close in on Edwards' best lap. Still, the Texan's 1:35.08 remains as the best lap with Corser only .02 seconds behind.

"I'm happy about the job done today in terms of the choice of tires for the race," Corser said in an Aprilia press release. "In particular, in a race simulation the times were very consistent and always near a minute, 35 seconds, a constant series with a good rhythm. As far as the bike set-up goes on the other hand, we improved the fine-tuning of the rear suspension that created an even better feel on the track...

I didn't best use the only set of qualifying tires that I decided to test today in order to concentrate completely on the race configuration: a little mistake and the time stopped at a minute 35.10, a time I think it's possible to beat."
