Castrol Honda's World Superbike champion Colin Edwards set the fastest timein Thursday's first day of a two-day test at the Misano circuit in Italy --the venue for next week's eighth round of the championship.

Ducati's Ben Bostrom was second quickest, only 0.03 seconds behind Edwards...
Castrol Honda's Tady Okada was third quickest, just 0.3 seconds slower than hisfellow Castrol VTR rider.
