It's no secret that the cruiser market is is a money maker for a manufacturer that gets the ingredients correct. Honda seemed to have the right idea when they debuted their VTX 1800 at their own Vegas dealer show last year. They'd taken a cruiser and infused it with a claimed 100 horsepower, easily putting it ahead of all other contenders in the market -- most notably ahead of Yamaha's Road Star.

And though we've heard various rumblings about a new sportbike, last week Europe announced the BT1100 Bulldog, and we began to think Yamaha had something up it's hot-rod cruiser sleeve...

At the Year 2002 Yamaha dealer meeting held in Sin City, it was the new Road Star Warrior that garnered the most applause. So here it is, then, for you to take a look at.

Let us know what you think of this newest Yamaha. Is it what you want in a cruiser? Is it too much or too little? Too mild or too wild?

This is going to be an interesting year for the cruiser set, and Yamaha's newest entry into this market segment looks poised to give the competition some fits.
