Yamaha Officially Releases a Bulldog

While our European sources have told us that something like this was coming, there was an embargo and a shroud of secrecy that prohibited us from saying anything. But now that somebody has leaked the info, it's fair game, and Yamaha has finally announced the all-new BT1100 Bulldog on their European web site.

So why all these European mentions? Well, because it's unlikely this bike will make it to the United States. As the Yamaha web site says, the bike is, "created, engineered and produced in one of Yamaha's European factories for it's European destinations."

Also of note is the fact that people seem to think this bike just won't sell here because of its low power output which is claimed at only 65 horsepower...

But fear not, as MO will be in attendance in Las Vegas this coming Monday, June 11, for the annual dealer show. In 'Vegas, there's a chance that the US market will get something similar to the Bulldog that you see before you here, even if their press people insist this won't happen.

All that Yamaha representatives are willing to confirm right now is that, "there will be new product in ATV, off-road and street bike categories."

So, in the meantime, take a look at the Bulldog and let us know what you think of this latest Euro-only release.

Also, would you be interested in something like this but with a more American flair, more power, closely resembling the MT-01 of a year ago? Or should Yamaha just stick to R1s and Royal Stars?
