Aprilia Releases New Dream Streetbike - The Tuono
A smaller front fairing provides room for tall, hooligan style handlebars, but the full 130bhp Mille spec engine sits in the chassis, as does what appear to be the R-spec rear Ohlins shock. Expect the heavier Mille wheels and front fork, but those high wide bars should provide ample leverage to push the bike into a turn. Watch out FZ-1, here is a bike that is sure to take the street bike crown, with italian styling to boot. You better act quick, though. Only 200 will be made, and it looks as though they will be selling for a mere $15,800(US)...
>Of course, the site makes no mention (and seems to imply the negative) of whether the bike will be available on this side of the pond, but I am guessing that we will see it eventually. If not, maybe they'll let us by the triple clamps and handlebars. I am sure I can manage the necessary modifications to the fairing of that heavily discounted 2001 Mille I saw on the sales floor of my local Aprilia dealer.
