Sitting under yon pine tree, the bright yellowAprilia Mille-R made its presence known. That too-brightshade accented by flat black touches and somebright reddish-pinkish coloring on the fairinglowers sure looks mahvelous, even from adistance. Up close and personal with the bike, however, it's the details that catch your eye andyou pretty much ignore the bright surroundings.Carbon fiber rear fender? Check. Carbon fiberfairing louvers? Yup. There's a c-f dash panel andfront fender too, and it's all the real deal. None ofthat fake stuff here. And that's pretty much howthe whole bike is, really.

Over the course of the last few weeks, we've once again fallen in love with big-boresportbikes. You can do anything on them, go anywhere in reasonable comfort and they'reimpossibly fast and can make up for a huge talent defecit if you take some time to hone yourpoint and shoot technique. Riding the Aprilia, however...

Well, if you want to find out just what the Aprilia is like to ride, you should read the story. Then, of course, let us and Aprilia know what you think of their baby.
