600 Supersport Update From Daytona

We just got a phone call from a certain friend in the AMA who called in from Daytona to let us know that just over half-way into the 600 Supersport race, there's a red flag and they will have a re-start shortly.

It seems Roger Lee Hayden crashed and left some oil on the track in turn one. His brother Nicky was next to crash, possibly in the oil spilled by his brother's bike. The running order was Suzuki's Aaron Yates followed by another Suzuki of Jamie Hacking, followed by Honda's Miguel Duhamel.

Solid red flag came out when Suzuki's John Hopkins crashed up on the banking and totaled the bike.

At the end, Nicky works his way back up to finish in second place (he started last in the re-start)! Miguel wins, Yamaha's Gobert is in third, Honda's Kurtis Roberts is fourth, Eric Bostrom in fifth. Full update and official times/standings in a few minutes...
