There are cruisers and then there are the kind of cruisers that meander into the sort of territory that was previously the domain of such power-bikes as Yamaha's V-Max. On this side of the fence, power is the main attraction and holds even more allure than good looks and nostalgia.

The newest and most hard-core entry into this segment is Honda's VTX 1800. With bores nearly four inches wide and valves larger than a P-51's and almost 900cc in each cylinder, this new Honda is all about power. Oh, it looks pretty good, too.
