Year 2000 edition Signet series helmets haveundergone a few significant upgrades. The newSignet GT offers a new cheek pad, neck roll andchin spoiler design, something they call the FFSFreeFlow system (which is, translated frommarketing jargon, re-designed cheek pads, neckroll and chin spoiler) that Arai claims reduces windturbulence while re-routing hot air away from theface. The Signet GT also comes with a new, dualintake/exhaust ventilation system designed to drawhot air out from the helmet's interior, as well as anew face shield release system that is supposed tomake removal easier.

Woo-hoo! For a $520.00 USD base model suggest retail price, the more gizmos, the better. But are these "upgrades" in fact upgrades, or simply insignificant cosmetic changes?
