In what is already being called one of the best races in recent history, Teak Chevy Trucks/Kawasaki's Ricky Carmichael came from a 10th place start to overtake Team Mazda/Yamaha's Jeremy McGrath only a few laps from the finish, claiming his third victory in five races this season.

In the 125 West series, Team Yamaha's Ernesto Fonseca took top honors on his YZ250F, making this his fourth win of five races so far...

Team Honda's Ezra Lusk was an early hopeful, battling with McGrath until his chain derailed, sending the Red Rider over the bars and out for the evening.

Team Suzuki's Kevin Windham put in another strong performance, finishing in third.
