So you go to the local track day, unload your scoot, start it up and put around for a few laps to warm it -- and yourself -- up, right?

Yeah, if you're a panzy. If you're MO, you hammer out of the gate so you can be the first to drag knee that day!

We just posted the first two videos from our upcoming World SuperSport shootout, one of them is in DivX format, the other in our trusty old MPEG-I style...

DivX is a new wrapper for MPEG-4 and is supposed to offer greater quality with substantially smaller videos. The latest Windows Media Player supports it, so you'll probably need to upgrade it. Linux/Unix/OS-X users can download aviplayer.

Also note that we've gone back to the command-line Berkeley MPEG encoder from the spiffy GUI tools we were using, so our MPEG-I videos are less than half the size they were per minute, with twice the quality. They're a pain in the arse, as you have to encode the audio and video separately and rejoin them in the final step, all on the command line, but the MPEG-I files rival the DivX one in size, and the quality is much better. I guess it's better than the really old days @MO where were had to join a bunch of individual Targa files with and audio track in the MPEG encoder, that sucked.
