Put down your freedom fries and check this out: The French have set a new speed record for a train on rails -- 357.2 mph!

The TGV V150 is not quite as fast as the fastest Japanese magnetic levitation train (361 mph), but when it rolls out of the station, it will kick any puny 200-mph Hayabusa or 250-mph Bugatti Veyron's ass. And it's from France, where they do more than just kiss and make fries.
