Edelbrock Corporation announced that it had completed the acquisition of certain assets of Russell Performance Products Inc., a leading manufacturer of performance plumbing and brake lines, oil lines, brake rotors, fuel lines and filters.

"With the addition of the Russell assets, we will be armed with a well respected name in both the automotive and motorcycle aftermarkets," said Vic Edelbrock, President and CEO of Edelbrock.

Vic Edelbrock continues, "It not only complements our existing lines of parts, but will expand Edelbrock's product offering. The acquisition will provide our customers with an expansive breadth of products."

Russell distributes to the automotive and motorcycle aftermarkets and also supplies select component parts to Harley-Davidson. The deal closed in late December 2000 and was valued at $3.2 million and included the assumption of certain leases.
