Evo V Twin Cam Dyna

I'm about to buy my first Big Twin and have a choice between 2 Dynas - a 97 Evo for £6500 and a 02 Twin Cam for £7900. I can afford either (just - and its gonna take 10yrs to pay for them so I aint flush!) but is it a better idea to get the 97 Evo or a 02 Twin cam? I'm thinkin that any problems that the Evo did have would have been sorted by 97 so the motor's gonna be solid (or should be) but the Twin Cam is gonna hold its price better. I'm tempted to get the evo but anyone got any advice before I hand over the cash?
