Imagine a time in the future when you won't have to take your car to a gas station.
During the evening, a hydrogen fueling station in the garage that runs off your natural gas line will refill the tank on your hydrogen fuel-cell-powered car, which will give you a 270-mile range.
The hydrogen station will also provide a 5-kilowatt electrical power supply for the house, which will be plenty, given the energy-saving lighting and appliances. Oh, and the hydrogen station will also heat the house.
How far down the road is this energy-efficient, environmentally friendly scenario?
