Daytona Activity Begins

DAYTONA BEACH, Fla., (Feb. 28, 2002) - Motorcycle activities kicked off at Daytona International Speedway on Thursday with the Formula USA Team Challenge. The team of Nathan Kern and Michael Barnes rode the KSU Consulting Suzuki 600 to the overall victory and the GTU class victory.

The top three overall were GTU class riders. Brian Salazar of Big Show Racing tooksecond overall on a Suzuki 600 while Thomas Pfuner of I & E Innovative Homes tookthird overall on a Suzuki 600.



Rich Thorwaldson, Big Valley Honda 929, captured the top spot in the GTO class. Theclass win in GTL went to John Lounsbury on the Team All Star Pepsi Suzuki 600.
