954 Vs R1 Reader Feedback

Last year, Yamaha's R1 took the top spot in our Open SportbikeShootout by virtue of its all-around goodness. Only the second-place Suzuki GSX-R1000could surpass it on the track, though it required 110-percent focus to do so. Back in the real world where most people spend their time, the R1 was once again at the top of the class withits compliant suspension and user-friendly motor.

When we rode the new CBR954 at Las Vegas Motor Speedway a few weeks ago, it was obvious, right from the off, that the Honda was finally a contender. It's sharper and lighter thanbefore and has quite a bit more power, especially down low where it's a welcome addition onspirited street rides. So just how does it fare against the reigning class champion? Read the story and let us know what you think.
