Tuned for Torque. Naked Sportbike. These are catchphrases you hear a lot, but what do you really want? Do you just want a simple, powerful, comfortable mount that has all the performance and handling capability of a top-of-the line sportbike? Or do you think it's OK to soften power delivery and cheapen suspension components for the less-discerning standard-buyer?

BMW introduced their take on the Naked Sportbike last year, the K1200R. It's almost exactly what it's hyped to be; BMW's most powerful, best handling motorcycle with the bodywork stripped off. Does the concept work? Is the bike really good enough to justify the "Motorcycle of the Year" award it received from several magazines?

BMW ponied up a test unit so we could see if it stacks up. Read it and come back to tell us if you want one!
