Run a Car Tire on Your Gold Wing!

Yes! You can put a car tire on the back of your Gold Wing and get better braking and waaay more miles before replacement -- at least that's what a number of people on the Internet are saying. According to some accounts, the sidewall of a car tire has enough give to keep the flat patch of a car tread on the pavement when the bike is leaned over (that is, it's not riding on the "point" where the tread and sidewall meet). And when you're riding upright, which is the majority of the time, you have a contact patch that's much wider than any motorcycle tire. I can understand the motivation of Wing owners, whose back tires last about as long as a popsickle on a hot day, but I'm still skeptical. What say you, MOrons?
