Scooters: The Perfect Second Car?

I found this off of Yahoo's finance section. Since an earlier MO’er posted the question as to why the media doesn't recommend two wheel options, I thought this was interesting. It seems unbiased and gives the reasoning for scooters over motorcycles to be ease of use rather than the usual "Scary Two Wheels of Death" outlook.
And the article ends with “why drive when you can scoot?”
