KTM U.S. Scores 2nd in Baja 1000

The Red Bull KTM US Dakar Team of Andy Grider, Kellon Walch, Scot Harden and Chris Blais contested the 36th-annual Tecate SCORE Baja 1000 this past Thursday. The Team placed second overall in the motorcycle category! Andy Grider rode the first leg of the event for KTM. At 6:34am he began the Baja 1000. Andy blasted into the Mexican desert from his timed start in eighth position from Ensenada, Mexico. Kellon Walch piloted the second section of the course aboard the specially designed and prepared Baja KTM motorcycle. Scot Harden, the Red Bull KTM US Dakar Team Manager commanded the third leg of the race, while Chris Blais took it home to La Paz, Mexico.
Already dubbed as the Toughest Baja to date, only 153 of the original 272 entries finished the 808-mile race.
