Donington Moto GP

By Sean Alexander, Jul. 25, 2004
The first three laps of the Moto GP race today at Donington Park was nothing short of spectacular. Under cloudy skies we saw great starts from Gibernau and Capirossi. After a few corners, it became clear that Rossi, Edwards and Hayden were charging hard to get to the front. In the end, Rossi and Edwards succeeded, finishing 1 - 2 with Gibernau 3rd and Hayden 4th. The Ducatis of Bayliss and Capirossi faded to 5th and 7th respectively. After the race, Edwards ran up and tackled Rossi at the podium. For a second it looked like a fight, but then you saw that it was just exuberance on Edwards part. The play wrestling match ended with Rossi sitting on top of and playfully b!tch slapping Edwards as they both laughed.
