Very Interesting! MotoGP Testing

I normally prefer to let the times shake out over an entire 3-day test, before publishing a "combined" digest from each track. However, there's some serious upsetting of the apple cart happening, on day two of the three day MotoGP tests in Australia. Honda left day one of the tests with the four fastest times. However, on day two, Honda's top time is only 3rd quickest, behind Loris Capirossi's Ducati and Valentino Rossi's Yamaha. With just 3/10s of a second covering the top 5 and less than 1 second covering the top 10 fastest times today, things are looking rather competitive down at Phillip Island. If this is any indication of things to come, I think MotoGP 2004 is going to be the best season of motorcycle racing ever witnessed. Don't too be surprised though, when Honda throws on a bunch of qualifiers for tomorrow and wraps-up the tests back at the top of the timesheets. -Sean
