Vulcan 2000 Teaser

We've had our shiny new Kawasaki Vulcan 2000 for about 3 weeks now and boy howdy is it heavy, interesting and dare I say fast? The big Vulcan's motor is not only very powerful, but extremely impressive to look at. I think it's safe to say that Kawasaki has raised the bar in the engine finish and detail catagory, let alone engine output. We're in the process of wrapping up our real world riding impressions, but today was Dyno Day at MO.

After a hearty push up the ramp and a thorough lashing down on-top of our Dynojet, the newest Godzilla cruiser snorted out a linear and broad 96.4hp and 122.9LbFt. Ninety Seven Horsepower is nothing to sneeze at in a cruiser, but not really earth shattering. However, I can hardly say the same about a no-foolin One Hundred Twenty Three Foot Pounds at the rear tire. Yes indeed, that just might shatter the earth.

Here are a few photos, videos and the Dyno Chart to hold you over till the test is complete.
