Helmet Standard Question

This isn't an article, it's a question. I have heard that the British racing standard is "tougher" than Snell, and that the CE street standard leaves DOT is the dust. Any truth to this (or these)? What are the differences? And, of course, fellow MOrons, what are your informed opinions?
