FRENCH GRAND PRIX - LE MANS, 25 MAY - CAMEL CLUES

CONTINUING TESTS FOR PROTON KR
The British-based Proton KR team may give their new 990cc four-stroke machine it's MotoGP debut at Le Mans after further testing this week. Ulsterman Jeremy McWilliams will continue testing the bike this week before any decision is made about what he will ride at the French Grand Prix.

The team may take both the new four-strokes and their two-stroke 500cc three cylinder machines to Le Mans for McWilliams and Nobuatsu Aoki to ride before making a final decision.

McWilliams was full of praise for the new machine after a shakedown test at an aerodrome near their Oxfordshire headquarters last week. "It's going to be a late call and there is no point in racing the bike until it's ready," said McWilliams. "We have been hammering the daylights out of the engine and it's good. It feels really smooth and quick and it's a beautiful machine. I can't wait to race it. These are just shakedown tests and we will have to wait and see if it will be ready for Le Mans."

WCM STILL WAITING
The long wait for the WCM team continues after the FIM International Disciplinary Court failed to reach a decision about the team's appeal at their meeting in Geneva on Friday. The team appealed against the decision to ban them from the MotoGP races because of an alleged technical infringement.

The British-based team will travel to Le Mans with their two riders Chris Burns and Spaniard David DeGea hoping that a positive decision will be announced and they will be allowed to compete.
