Fukui Named CEO of Honda

For those (myself included) who complain that Honda products have become too passionless, and that senior management is too "corporate," too removed from their racing roots, this may be good news. ABC News Australia reports that Takeo Fukui, former head of HRC, the racing subsidiary of Honda, has been named as President and CEO of Honda Motor Co Ltd.

Reportedly Fukui was responsible for Honda's decision to return to Formula 1 racing. It will be interesting to see what impact this may have on Honda's motorcycle racing programs, or on their sportbikes.
