The Motostars: Celebrities + Motorcycles exhibit will open with a special ribbon-cutting ceremony on June 27-28 at the museum in Pickerington, Ohio. Over 25 celebrities ranging from actors to musicians to athletes will be contributing to the exhibit with more to be added.

“We are thrilled by the personalities and groups who have offered to support ‘MotoStars’ and look forward to announcing further exhibit contributors in the coming months,” says Mark Mederski, executive director of the Motorcycle Hall of Fame Museum. “The Museum is committed to making ‘MotoStars’ as diverse and comprehensive as possible, and the industry leaders already contributing are making this goal a reality. We are eager to share the stories of these prominent motorcyclists and show visitors the strength and passion of the motorcycling community.”

The celebrities chosen for the display are being recognized for their contributions to motorcycle culture as well as for their fame, such as Hollywood icon and noted motorcyclist Steve McQueen, whose competition bike from the International Six Days Trials will be on display.

Other exhibits include a display for Dan Haggerty, star of the’70s film and television series Grizzly Adams. The actor and stuntman also built custom motorcycles, including the chopper from the film Easy Rider.

There will also be a special section devoted to motorcycle stunt work from films such as Terminator 2 and The Matrix Reloaded.

The exhibit will feature other displays, including a Buddy Holly special collection and a full-size statue of Snoopy as ‘Joe Motocross’ presented by motocross racer Craig Schulz, son of Peanuts cartoonist Charles Schulz.
