Italian manufacturer Moto Guzzis new Griso 1200 8V reaches American dealerships this month.

The naked bike, powered by Moto Guzzis newly redesigned 1150cc 90-degree V-Twin eight-valve engine, reaches a claimed peak of 110 hp at 7,500 rpm, 20 more ponies than the Griso 1100. Moto Guzzi also claims the Griso 1200 8V has 79.7 ft-lbs of torque at 6,400 rpm, also an increase from its predecessor.

The Griso 1200s Quattrovalvole (four valves per cylinder) engine is mounted in Moto Guzzis trademark transversal placement design within a high strength tubular steel perimeter chassis.

Motorcycle.com reviewer Yossef Schvetz was impressed with the 2008 Moto Guzzi Griso 1200 8V.
When Motorcycle.com reviewed the new Guzzi back in October, Yossef Schvetz wrote that the bike could help change the perception of the Italian manufacturer as an older guys marque with its new, more powerful engine and attractive styling.

The Moto Guzzi Griso 1200 8V will be available in Guzzi Black or Moon White at a ticket price of $14,290.
