H-D Marks Military Appreciation Month

Harley-Davidson honors active and retired military personnel
By Motorcycle.Com Staff, Nov. 11, 2010
Harley-Davidson is honoring the efforts of active and retired U.S. military personnel in its second annual Military Appreciation Month.

At Harley-Davidson, were all about freedom, but we cant forget that freedom comes at a price, says Dino Bernacchi, Harley-Davidsons director of Marketing and Communications. Its humbling to think of the countless sacrifices these brave men and women and their families have made to keep our country free, so the Motor Company is honored to help salute military personnel this November.

Harley-Davidson is asking Americans to show their support by sending personal message of thanks to military personnel with electronic postcards featuring supermodel Marisa Miller.

Im honored to help the Motor Company salute the brave men and women who work so hard to defend our nations freedom, says Miller. My grandfather is a veteran, and Ive had the unique opportunity to meet hundreds of service men and women during recent USO tours, so the military holds a special place in my heart. I hope other Americans will join me and Harley-Davidson in saluting these real life heroes during the month of November.

Harley-Davidson is also holding a contest that will award one active or retired member of the military with a new motorcycle and a trip to Milwaukee for a VIP visit to the Harley-Davidson Museum. Active and retired military personnel can enter the Harley-Davidson Freedom Pass contest online at http://www.harley-davidson.com/thankyou.

Service members can also receive free limited edition military appreciation bandanas by presenting valid military IDs at participating Harley-Davidson dealerships. Harley-Davidson dealerships will also provide other ways for people to honor local military heroes.
