Harley-Davidson announced its contributions to relief efforts for the people of Japan.

The Harley-Davidson Foundation, the Motor Company’s non-profit charitable organization, is donating $250,000 to the American Red Cross for recovery efforts in Japan. Harley-Davidson’s Japanese subsidiary has also established a fund to provide food, water and other necessities to people in areas of Japan affected by the March 11 earthquake.

Harley-Davidson is also asking people to donate to the Red Cross.

“Our hearts go out to all the people in Japan who have been impacted by these tragic events,” says Gail Lione, president of the Harley-Davidson Foundation. “It is important to all of us at Harley-Davidson to support the relief efforts and help the country through this devastating time.”
