After a relatively subdued showing at INTERMOT, expect Aprilia to make a splash at the 2010 EICMA show in Milan.

Aprilia introduced the special edition RSV4 Factory APRC at the INTERMOT show in Cologne, Germany, but the Italian manufacturer was surely saving something special for its home market.

A likely candidate for a Milan debut is a new Tuono naked version of the RSV4. The original 2002 RSV Tuono was based on the Rotax V-Twin powered RSV Mille, so a naked version of the RSV4 using its V4 engine should not be a surprise. Italian website Motociclismo.it spotted a V4 Tuono testing at the Mugello circuit in June, and an EICMA launch is almost certain.

The Aprilia Dorsoduro 1200, shown here at INTERMOT, will be at EICMA.

Another anticipated model that may appear in Milan is a new Aprilia Tuareg adventure bike. Several other manufacturers have been jumping on the enduro segment currently dominated by BMW’s GS line-up. Ducati has its Multistrada 1200 and Yamaha has the Super Ténéré going up against the BMW R1200GS, while Triumph with its new Tiger 800 and Honda’s upcoming V4 model enter the middleweight class against the F800GS. Aprilia currently has the Pegaso 650 but a 750cc or 1200cc Tuareg based off a Shiver platform may make its way to the Milan showroom floor.

Aprilia will also display its new Dorsoduro 1200 and likely some new scooters at EICMA. Newly-crowned World Superbike Champion Max Biaggi will likely make an appearance as well.
