Ducati Sales Up 24% in August

848EVO, Monster 796 buoy sales
By Motorcycle.Com Staff, Sep. 10, 2010
Ducati North America reported a 24% increase in sales during August despite an industry-wide decline of 13%.

The positive August numbers give Ducati two consecutive months of year-on-year sales increases in North America, with sales in July increasing 4.75%.

Ducati credits the results to the arrival of two new models this summer, the 848EVO and the Monster 796. The Ducati Multistrada 1200S also continues to be one of the brands top sellers.

We are pleased with the hard work put forth by our dealer network, which allowed us to achieve these positive results, says Jason Chinnock, sales and marketing director for Ducati North America. With the launch of the Fall Oppor2unity Sales Promotion and the renewed support of our dealer partners we are cautiously optimistic for the remainder of the season.

The Ducati 848EVO arrived in dealerships in August, helping increase sales by 24% compared to last year.
