AMA Pro Racing moves to Daytona

Racing body moves from Ohio to Florida
By Motorcycle.Com Staff, Nov. 14, 2008
AMA Pro Racing has a new home, a 4,800 square-foot facility in Daytona Beach, Fla.

The American Motorcyclist Associations professional racing body is now headquartered at a facility close to Daytona International Speedway and the corporate home of NASCAR, International Speedway Corporation and Grand-Am.

Daytona International Speedway and this area are known as the World Center of Racing and considering that and the close association with some of our corporate cousins that are located nearby, it made perfect sense to set up AMA Pro Racings new headquarters in Daytona Beach, says Roger Edmondson, president of AMA Pro Racing.

AMA Pro Racing, which formerly operated under the name Daytona Motorsports Group, acquired the rights to the AMAs Superbike, Motocross, Flat Track, Supermoto, Hillclimb and ATV Pro racing series in March. Previously, the AMAs professional racing organizations were based in Pickerington, Ohio.

Edmonson and his executive management team will all be located at the new headquarters, as will the organizations competition, logistics, marketing, communications and licensing and registration operations.

AMA Pro Racings new address and contact information is:

AMA Pro Racing
735 Fentress Blvd.
Daytona Beach, FL 32117
Telephone: (386) 492-1014
Fax: (386) 274-2335
