MV Agusta has begun production of the 2010 F4.

First introduced at the 2009 EICMA show in Milan, Italy, the 2010 MV Agusta F4 is ready for delivery to early pre-orders.

While parent company Harley-Davidson searches for a buyer for the Italian manufacturer, MV Agustas production lines have continued without slowdowns or stoppages. The first F4 units are expected to be delivered to dealerships by the time the world press gets to test the sportbike Feb. 12 in Almeria, Spain.

The 2010 MV Agusta F4 retains much of the styling cues of its predecessors while receiving updates to its engine and chassis.

Production of the MV Agusta F4 is underway despite the manufacturer's uncertain future.

The new F4 is powered by a 998cc four-cylinder engine. MV Agusta says the full power version will produce 186 hp at the crankshaft at 12,900 rpm and 84 ft-lb. of torque at 9,500 rpm, while the restricted power version is said to produce 100 hp at 9,200 rpm and 66.4 ft-lb. at 5,500 rpm.

The new chassis is said to be lighter and more compact. According to MV Agusta, the 2010 F4 is 22 lb. lighter than the previous version.
