"Heck, if it's got a motor, why not race it??" Indeed. Not too long ago, I saw a bunch of rednecks racing HOT-RODDED LAWN TRACTORS! Actually, it was pretty funny, and entertaining. Those guys were really throwing it around, sideways at all of 40 mph. Good fun, no injuries. It's too funny to hear the winner spout off with:

"Whell, my Sunoco-Pepsi-Marlboro-JOHN-DEERE was just a-runnin' great today......

the only sportbike a cruiser "blow the paint of most sportbikes in a straight line" is an EX-250 ninja if its lucky. Cruisers are overweight are underpowered. Stock for stock.....any modern sport bike will completely waste a cruiser in straight line, and twisties.

Default Doin' it in the Dirt!

Actually Honda marketing & advertising gave flat six sales a major boost a few years ago when they produced a commercial for TV depicting an agressive rider power sliding a Valkire around on a dry lakebed. Massive roostertails of Mother Nature's finest obscured the horizon until the WFO Valk powered sideways off stage right... awesome! Honda damn near sold out of Valks in sixty days...

How will drag racing stimulate better "suspension, braking, steering etc"? Isn't the engine the main thing that's important in drag racing?

"Dragracing is a lot like roadracing...."

Really? What's similar?

In drag racing, the entire race is over in a matter of seconds, with no time whatsoever to make up for any errors. Lean angle is not a big concern. These bikes will be lowered as much as possible to reduce wind resistance.

Default Your opinion is..uh.. appreciated..

..but in the interest of peace and harmony, it may be wise for you to avoid events frequented by those you elect to so eloquently criticize. Some people may be a tad sensitive to such remarks... if one had the temerity to so communicate thusly in person.

A very wise person one opined that "a closed mouth gathered no foot".. or was that a "..booted foot.."?
